Fall 2026 Session: Three Gatherings. Shared Generosity. Local Impact.

Kirkland women are looking for meaningful and accessible ways to give back. The Kirkland Women’s Giving Circle brings women together to learn about local needs, build relationships, and combine their generosity to create real community impact.

Our first session showed what can happen when women give together. Members awarded $4,600 to Essentials First while also building new connections and learning more about the organizations serving our community.

This fall, the Giving Circle returns with a new format that will create impact at every gathering.

How Session 2 Will Work

At each gathering, board members from three smaller local nonprofits will share their organizations’ story and what additional support could make possible.

Giving Circle Members will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss what they heard, and vote that evening.

The nonprofit receiving the most votes will receive 75% of the contributions raised that evening. Each of the two runners-up will receive 10%, ensuring that every presenting nonprofit leaves with meaningful support.

The remaining 5% will be directed to the Kirkland Community Foundation to help organize and facilitate the Giving Circle and make this work possible.

What Makes These Gatherings Special

Each evening at Lady Yum will include:

A welcoming glass of bubbly and signature macaron
Time to connect with women who care about Kirkland
Presentations from three smaller local nonprofits
Questions and community conversation
Member voting and an immediate funding decision

The experience is personal, joyful, and accessible. You do not need to arrive with expertise about philanthropy or local nonprofits. Come with curiosity, a desire to connect, and an interest in making a local difference.

Registration, Giving, and Voting

Registration for the session is $25. Participation is confirmed by paying the registration fee and prepaying your charitable contribution for one, two, or all three gatherings.

One time session registration: $25
One gathering: $100
Two gatherings: $200
Full three month session: $300

Members who prepay the full $300 commitment will receive two votes.

Participants may also purchase up to five additional votes for $100 each, creating even more support for the presenting nonprofits.

We hope you will join us for the full three month experience so we can build community together, but drop-in participants are also welcome.

The Giving Circle is open to women and those who identify as women.

Why the Kirkland Community Foundation Sponsors the Giving Circle

As Kirkland’s community foundation, our role is to connect people who care with opportunities to make a meaningful local difference.

The Kirkland Women’s Giving Circle makes philanthropy approachable while helping smaller nonprofits share their work with new supporters. It keeps charitable dollars invested locally and gives every participant a voice in where those resources go.

At the end of the three months, we hope participants leave with more than the satisfaction of making a gift. We hope they leave with a deeper understanding of Kirkland, new relationships, and the experience of taking action together.

Come for one evening or join us for all three. Together, we can strengthen local nonprofits and create meaningful impact throughout Kirkland.
