Cherie Skager

Board Member

Cherie Skager is a longtime Kirkland resident and retired nonprofit CEO. During her career, she served in leadership roles at the YWCA of Seattle-King County-Snohomish County, the Puget Sound Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, The Hope Heart Institute, and the Seattle Police Foundation.

Cherie lives in the Forbes Creek neighborhood with her husband and two teenage sons. She enjoys walking the Cross Kirkland Corridor with her labradoodle, cheering on the Juanita Raven’s lax team at the Kirkland Lacrosse Center, taking classes at the Kirkland Arts Center and Sur la Table, and exploring the region’s many restaurants, coffee shops, and wineries.

She deeply appreciates the quality of life that Kirkland offers and is honored to support the work of the Kirkland Community Foundation and give back to the community that makes Kirkland such a special place.

Kirkland Community Foundation has long served as the hub for successful projects inititated by members of our community, including the Save Our Salmon mural and the Waverly Beach Picnic Shelter. Have an idea for a project? Please complete this form as an initial step in the process, and we'll be in touch!
