The Kirkland Charitable Collective is a giving circle for people who love Kirkland and want to be more intentional, connected, and impactful with their philanthropy.
Members gather around a table, learn directly from local nonprofits, and decide together where their collective generosity can make the greatest difference.
It is philanthropy that is social, thoughtful, and rooted right here in our community.

Come meet other prospective members, learn how the Collective works, and decide whether it is right for you.
Mondays from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
All gatherings will be held at Soi Thai at Kirkland Urban.
A giving circle brings people together to pool their charitable dollars and decide collectively where to give.
Instead of giving alone, members combine their resources to create larger, more meaningful grants while learning about local needs and building relationships with one another.

The Collective welcomes individuals and couples and is intentionally kept small to preserve meaningful conversation and connection.
A giving unit may include one person or a couple. Each giving unit receives one equal vote in grant decisions. Couples may choose to fund two giving units if they would each like a vote.
Everyone at the table has an equal voice.
The Collective meets during two three-month terms each year.

Contributions to the Kirkland Charitable Collective can be accepted through Donor Advised Funds, gifts of appreciated assets, cash or check.
Cost of dinner/ drinks not included in this donation. Dinner is purchased individually by each participant.

Each gathering begins with a relaxed dinner and conversation among members.
Three nonprofit organizations serving Kirkland will then share brief 5 minute presentations about their work, the people they serve, and what additional funding could make possible.
Members will have an opportunity to ask questions, discuss what they heard, and vote that evening.
You do not need to be an expert in philanthropy or local nonprofits. Come with curiosity, generosity, and an interest in making a difference.
How Grants Are AwardedThe contributions available at each gathering will be distributed as follows:
This approach ensures that every presenting nonprofit receives support.
Members may also choose to make additional gifts to any of the presenting organizations through the Foundation.
Participating organizations must be nonprofits that serve the Kirkland community. They do not need to be headquartered in Kirkland.
Some gatherings may feature organizations working within a shared area, such as youth well-being, food security, housing stability, mental health, arts and culture, or environmental stewardship. Other evenings may introduce members to a range of community needs.
KCF identifies and prepares nonprofit presenters, facilitates the gatherings, and provides the information members need to make thoughtful decisions.
Over time, members will also have opportunities to help shape the Collective, recommend organizations, and take on shared leadership.
